Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to introduce two seemingly related, yet completely differently defined interdisciplinary fields of research - memory studies and oral history. This is a theoretically oriented course that prepares students for research in a given area of inquiry. It is not a practical course.
Orientation in the field of memory studies and oral history, with reference to research in Western countries.
Prerequisites
Passive knowledge of English at B2 level, readings for each of the seminars (mostly in English), active participation in class discussions.

Assessment methods and criteria
Mark, Essay, Systematic Observation of Student, Final project

Passive knowledge of English at B2 level required (reading texts, audiovideo). BA in History and related disciplines (for example cultural anthropology). Knowledge of the historiography of the second half of the twentieth century.
