Learning outcomes
|
The course is devoted to the study of monumental archaeology in the Czech and European context. Individual topics (see contents) will be discussed in the form of lectures and discussions in seminars. Some topics will be assigned to students for independent preparation and then presented in seminars. The aim is for students to learn to work independently with heritage data and to be able to communicate/present it to the general public in the future.
The graduate will be prepared for independent and effective involvement in the practice of heritage archaeology.

Prerequisites
|
Basic orientation in archaeological conservation. To pass this course, basic knowledge of the legal framework of Czech archaeology and types of archaeological research is assumed.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Student performance
(1) Participation in teaching: 39 teaching hours = 1.5 credit (full-time form) or 6 teaching hours + distance learning = 1 credit (combined form); (2) continuous preparation for teaching - study of information sources: 13 hours = 0.5 credit; (3) elaboration of the topic of the seminar paper: 50 hours = 2credit; (4) preparation for the exam: 25 hours = 1 credit.
