Course content
|
Lessons of conservation and restoration of archaeological metal artefacts. Practices with archaeological metal finds. Mechanical cleaning (manual and sand blasting), conservation and restoration of metal artefacts. Morpho-typological description of metals in a descriptive system and digital data processing in a database program (e.g., MS Access).

Learning outcomes
|
Acquiring practical experiences with the processing of archaeological metal material and describing it in a descriptive system.
Knowledge of techniques in the conservation and restoration of archaeological metal artefacts. Acquisition of practical skills - conservation and restoration of archaeological metals, morpho-typological description of metals in a descriptive system, and digital data processing.

The basic overview in the archaeological cultures in the Central Europe.

|
Analysis of Activities ( Technical works), Systematic Observation of Student
Active participation in the seminar, completion of assigned tasks, independent work, and ongoing consultations with the instructor.
