Course content
Extending the knowledge of German grammar, ability to understand written texts and spoken presentations, improving the ability to actively communicate in German language. The emphasis will be on improving communication skills, grammar, vocabulary and comprehension. We will work with one of the most modern textbooks from the renowned German publisher Hueber, the textbook Menschen. Specifically, it is the volume Menschen A2.1. There will be a minor placement test at the very beginning to see what chapter we will start working/what level the students are.

Prerequisites
This course is offered to all UP students. All students are required to have knowledge of German language (level B1 of Common European Framework of Reference), or level of school-leaving examination in German (at Czech grammar schools).

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam, Written exam

Active participation in the course, completion of given assignments, max. two absences/semester. There will be either one major final exam at the end or two minor exams split over the semester.
