Course content
|
The aim of this course is to introduce to the participants the central methods and models of literary science from the establishment of hermeneutics as a science, through F.D.E. Schleiermacher´s theories to the beginnings of post-structuralism. Emphasis will be placed on the contribution of German scientists to the development of an individual discipline.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of this course is to introduce to the participants the central methods and models of literary science from the establishment of hermeneutics as a science, through F.D.E. Schleiermacher´s theories to the beginnings of post-structuralism.
After successful completion of the course, the participants should be able to identify their own position in the spectrum of method and models of literary science as well as correctly assign the texts of other researchers.
