Course content
|
The course is focused on intensive development of film and analytical skills of students, mainly from the point of various methodological and theoretical views or its combination (neo-formalism, genre analysis, narratology, adaptation theory, etc.). Topic of the seminar is variable every semester, so it always cover an output of a specific personality, development of a genre or thematic segment, in the context of the history of Czechoslovak and world cinema.

To orientate in the history of film, to classify a specific work into the historical context of world cinematography.

Prerequisites

No prerequisites. It is recommended to attend the lectures KDU/DSF1-3, KDU/SFA-D.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Student performance, Seminar Work
Knowledge of selected texts and films, active participation on seminar, presentation or paper in range of 7 pages.
