Learning outcomes
The course focuses on the theoretical and practical aspects of television program development as part of the programming strategy of television broadcasters or video-on-demand (VOD) services. Students will learn about the principles that audiovisual service providers use when deciding on the form, genre, and target audience of each newly developed program, verify them in specific case studies supplemented by presentations from television and production professionals, and have the opportunity to try out the development of a model program in practice through joint seminar work.

Prerequisites
Successful completion of KDU/UST1,UST2 or KDU/UMS is highly recommended. Required is knowledge of terms and basic concepts of television studies, as well as fiction/faction television programmes.
