This course focuses on the intersection of gender and film. Throughout the course of the semester we will examine a number of methods of analyzing films as they touch on gender, and issues connected to gender in films and the audiovisual industry. Jazyk výuky je angličtina. This course will be taught in English. FAF is the code for UP bachelor's students only, SA is for Erasmus students only.
Studenti prohloubí svou schopnost analyticky přistupovat k vybranému problému z oblasti televizních či mediálních studií. Načerpají znalosti ke konkrétnímu tématu prostřednictvím studia relevantní předmětné a metodologické literatury, samostatné práce na zadaném tématu i díky kolektivní diskuzi jeho výstupu. Studenti budou schopni kvalifikovaně hodnotit vybrané televizní a jiné mediální produkty, tedy jejich dramaturgické uchopení, realizaci či další distribuční a recepční kontexty mediálního průmyslu navázané na tyto konkrétní výstupy.

Hodnoticí metody a kritéria

To pass, students must attend at least 75% of all lectures, participate in classroom discussions, read the assigned texts, and watch the assigned films. Texts will be uploaded to Moodle. Students will have to source their own copies of the films online or via the film library, they will not be hosted on Google drive or Moodle this semester. Oral exams in English will be scheduled at the end of the semester via STAG.
