Course content
|
During their studies, students choose a seminar paper topic that corresponds to a selected compulsory or compulsory elective course in the major version of the study program. Students choose their topic in consultation with their tutor, with whom they will consult on an ongoing basis and who will evaluate their seminar paper. Students should use the knowledge, skills, and notes from the courses Academic Skills and Academic Writing and Research Design. Students have 12 weeks of the semester to write a final paper at the level of a professional academic article based on notes from their executed research. The standards for the seminar paper and the criteria for evaluating the final seminar paper are the same for all students. The thesis has a length of 15 standard pages (+ - 1000 characters) and includes a bibliography of sources and literature used. The content structure and formal requirements, including language, are provided before the students choose a topic in the document Instructions for Seminar Thesis.
