Learning outcomes
|
The ability to carry out a research project and write a theoretical and methodological introduction to a standard academic text at the level of a professional academic article.
After completing the course, the student will be able to design and carry out a small-scale research project and produce a report that meets the standards of an academic text. They will become familiar with the stages of research and the process of preparing a scholarly paper. They will learn to identify critical aspects of research preparation, such as formulating hypotheses and understanding the relationship between research questions and methods used to answer them. The student will be able to avoid common difficulties in academic writing, such as writing without adequate preparation, lack of structure, or poor estimation of research scope and proportions. Within the course, students will apply knowledge and experience gained in the methodological subjects Historical Methods of Performance Research and Qualitative Methods of Performance Research, which are compulsory in the second year of study and serve as a foundation for this course.
