Topics: a) grammatical norm (necessary overlaps into teh standard ortographical norm) b) current issues of morphology (loanwords, foreign proper names - anthroponyms, toponyms, morphological adaptations c) basic model sof word coinage in Modern Czech d) stylistic characteristics of grammatical device, expressive means e) Czech sentence construction, basic violations of the rules f) work with basic manuals - grammars, dictionaries, online language guides

The course focuses on mastering grammatical (and ortographical) norm of standard Czech, on stylistic evaluation of language devices, development of written skills (academic texts), development of communicational skills in oral performance.
Knowledge of grammar (and spelling) standards, the ability to judge the stylistic values of language devices, communication skills for presentations, panel discussion, etc. |
