Course content
|
Each chapter is dedicated to an artist, in some cases, a specific direction or periods suggested topics ranging from painting and sculpture to architecture. Teaching approach focuses first on short activities supporting the already acquired knowledge, followed by a facilitated reading of texts. As introductions presentations of works, as well as deepening lyrics have a simple syntax, but they are rich in thematic content. A glossary provides useful information to understand the context. Special attention is paid to the technical vocabulary, for which each chapter provides exercises or short games. Space is given also the grammar.

Learning outcomes
|
Comprehensive development of all language skills - speaking, listening comprehension, reading, writing. Acquisition of basic vocabulary related to art history and working with various kinds of specialized texts. After successful completion of the whole course, the students will achieve target level of B1/B2 of Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
