Course content
|
The examination has two parts: a written test on the grammar covered and an interview. The interview will focus on topics from the study materials we have used. You must write a subject-related text (in English) that you submit to me latest a week before the exam. During the inteview, you must introduce your text and talk about the content. Closer information about the exam can be found in Moodle (you have to read this information!).

Learning outcomes
|
The examination will test the students' knowledge and skills acquired in the courses AZUP1 - AZUP2. Students need to register for AZUPZ in STAG.
Students have reached level B1+ according to CEFR including the vocabulary related to political science. Students are able to discuss topics related to political science. Students are able to analyse texts on political science.

Prerequisites
|
This is meant for the students who want to take an exam at the end of the two- semester Upper Intermediate English course. The exam can be taken on condition that the student has sucessfully passed both semesters of the course. The student will register for AZUPZ in STAG at the beginning of the semester along with other courses.

Assessment methods and criteria

Mark, Oral exam, Analysis of linguistic
Requirements: Successful passing of courses APOL1 and APOL2 In the exam, students talk about the topics covered in Navigate Intermediate B1+. Students describe and talk about political science as an area of their studies. Part of the oral examination is also rechecking the grammar credit test (examination of any wrong answers). The oral examination is finished with a dialogue / monologue on one of the topics discussed during the semesters. For the exam students also have to write a text in English on a topic from their field. Closer information about the exam can be found in Moodle (you have to read this information!).
