Written exam (about 60 minutes) The test verifies the written language skills in reading comprehension, grammar and vocabulary on B2 Level of the Common European Framework. The passing score is 60% regardless of the results in individual parts. A credit is given for passing a test. Oral exam (about 20 minutes) At the oral exam, the candidate will demonstrate the ability to communicate in the general language and in the professional sphere arising from the focus of his doctoral studies. The candidate will briefly present himself / herself on the basis of a CV (study and professional experience, foreign stays and internships, attendance at conferences and publishing activities), then present in a comprehensible and interesting way his / her research project (methods, theses, conclusions, import etc.) and answer questions from the examiner. Prior to the oral exam students must submit (min. 7 days before the oral examination): - Structured CV (max 2 pages A4) - Researcher / doctoral project (max. 2 A4 pages) - List of key terminology (at least 30 basic terms with translation)

Foreign Language Exam (French) for Doctoral Study Students verifies the linguistic competence of PhD students on B2 Level of the Common European Framework. Candidates will demonstrate the ability to communicate in the field of doctoral studies, especially the issues they are dealing with in their dissertation work.
By passing the exam, the student will demonstrate the ability to communicate in French on B2 Level of the Common European Framework. He/She is able not only to understand the technical text from the field of social sciences but also to express himself sufficiently in his professional field. |

| Assessment methods and criteria |
|
Oral exam, Didactic Test
Knowledge of French at B2 level, passing a written test, ability to write (CV, presentation of a doctoral project) and oral professional communication in French. Students have to sing up for a tutorial on the form and content of the exam and the study literature. The date of the tutorial will be announced in Stag. A written part of the exam will be recongized for students holding an international DALF or DELF (B2) certificate (proof of diploma). At moodle.ff.upol.cz there is a sample test of the written part of the exam. |
