Course content
Employee Remuneration. Financial and non-financial rewards. The importance of staff training and development in terms of HRM. Staff deployment. Policy deployment, Labor Code, collective bargaining. Employees and labor relations. Mandatory, contractual, optional care of employees. The importance of care of knowledge workers, the specific requirements of young knowledge workers, new ways of working using ICT, systems of employee benefits. Perspectives of HRM. Recent studies in the field of HRM, trends in the demand on young knowledge workers, new approaches to human capital. Basic differences in Western and Eastern human capital management. Presentation and analysis of two-term projects Human resource management system in a small company. This course is upgraded by the current trends in HRM with regard to the development of knowledge and creative economy and the growing importance of social technologies for management of companies and their employees. The innovation of the subject was established within a project CZ.1.07/2.2.00/28.0138 "Modularization of Managerial and Psychological Education at Palacky University in Olomouc through Innovating and Linking Economic and Psychological Study Programs."

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to develop the skills necessary for establishing and maintaining successful employment relations in current economic, social and technological environment. The course follows the course HRM 1 and presents other specific areas of HRM. Students must fully understand the human resource management system in a sense of the coherence of its various areas.
Professional knowledge: Student applies the principles of the HRM system in a small company and their basic legal regulation. Professional skills: Student implements and manages a HRM system in a small company He works in a particular area of HRM in medium and large companies He takes into account the specific characteristics of knowledge workers General skills: When working, student takes into account the context of social, economic and technological development and the requirements of global labor market. Effectively communicates and collaborates in teams of knowledge workers.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written exam, Systematic Observation of Student, Seminar Work

Students will complete the course using the LMS Moodle (current materials will be made available in Moodle at the beginning of the semester). Tasks must be completed according to the assignments in Moodle. Completion of the assignments is a prerequisite for taking the exam. The course consists of a theoretical (lecture-based) and a practical (application-based) part. The practical part builds on the theoretical content and focuses on analyzing the tasks that students will work on during the lecture-based sessions. Students will be divided into groups for the scheduled practical sessions (group allocation is determined by the instructor). Attendance at the assigned practical session is MANDATORY. Absence will only be excused in cases of serious reasons documented by a medical or official certificate. Attendance is a prerequisite for taking the final exam. The allocation of students to the practical session dates will take place during the first half of the semester.
