The course is aimed at strengthening the competences of social workers and other professionals involved in social work to maintain and develop their mental health and psychological resilience. Its main objective is therefore to expand the skills (upskilling) of helping professionals in the exercise of their profession. The course introduces psychohygiene as a tool for the prevention of burnout syndrome, which aims to develop and promote mental health. It is a set of information and specific practices aimed at reducing the impact of negative influences (stressors) on a person, and conversely increasing the impact of strengthening influences (salutors) on his/her mental fitness and balance. Social workers and other helping professionals are often exposed to significant stresses and risks in their profession due to the fact that the main tool of social work is the helping professional and the relationship between the client and the helping professional. Psychohygiene includes the care of the body, the psyche and relationships.
