Learning outcomes
|
He aim of the seminar is to deepen the knowledge of European and Czech medieval art in the period contexts. The course will focus on the major works of the High Middle Ages and the artistic centres of Europe and Bohemia from the 12th to the 15th century and their functions and interpretations.
Orientation in artistic creation in the High Middle Ages and in the theoretical background of the interpretation of medieval works.

Prerequisites
|
Completing the basic overview of art history at Bc. level. Reading and understanding in English, basic knowledge of German.

|
Student performance, Dialog
Continuous completion of tasks (assignment), regular reading of selected medieval texts, discussion of texts and works.
